Statement by the Press Secretary on the visit of
Greek Prime Minister Papandreou to the White House
The President will welcome Prime Minister Papandreou of Greece to the White House on March 9. Greece is a long standing ally of the United States in our shared efforts to promote stability and prosperity both in its region and around the world. As the birthplace of democracy, Greece and the United States share deep cultural and historic ties. The President looks forward to consulting with Prime Minister Papandreou on a broad range of strategic issues.
